Dit monument herdenkt Keesje Brijde, een 12-jarige jongen die op 13 december 1944 werd doodgeschoten, omdat hij in verboden gebied op zoek was naar stukjes steenkool. Het parkje heet het Keesje Brijdeplantsoen.
