Op 17 maart 1945 stortte de Australische Warrant Officer Jack Dawson Green neer op deze locatie. Dit monument, wat hem herdenkt, is opgericht op 3 mei 2010. Tevens is er een fietspad naar hem vernoemd. Sinds 2017 is de locatie ook voorzien van een informatiebord.
