Dit gebouw is tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog officieel als gevangenis gebruikt en onofficieel als Gestapo-vestiging. Vanaf 1945 was het een NKVD-vestiging. Na de oorlog zijn hier drie Duitse oorlogsmisdadigers opgehangen.
