Villa Torlonia werd gehuurd door de Italiaanse dictator Benito Mussolini van de jaren '20 tot 1945. Naast het huis is ook een bunker te vinden, die speciaal voor Mussolini werd ontworpen. Tegenwoordig huist er een kunstcollectie en andere musea.
