Fort Shafter

Fort Shafter is al vanaf 1907 een militaire basis op Oahu. Tijdens de aantal op Pearl Harbor op 7 december 1941 viel hier één dode. Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog waren hier aan aantal Amerikaanse hoofdkwartieren: U.S. Army Forces, Central Pacific Area (1943-1944), U.S. Army Forces, Pacific Ocean Areas (1944-1945) and U.S. Army Forces, Middle Pacific (1945-1947). Fort Shafter staat ook bekend als Palm Circle of 100 Area. Het is een U.S. National Historic Landmark.
