Dit documentatiecentrum over het Nationaal-Socialisme is opgericht in 1988 en is één van de grootste lokale gedenkcentra voor de slachtoffers van het Nationaal-Socialisme van Duitsland. Het gebouw is gebruikt door de Gestapo en de cellen in de kelder zijn bewaard gebleven. Het centrum biedt kennis over het Nationaal Socialisme in Duitsland en specifiek Keulen. Daarnaast zijn er regelmatig tijdelijke tentoonstellingen.
