Dit monument herdenkt de Sovjet verkenners die in 1945 deelnamen aan het offensief in Oost-Pruisen. Ook worden soldaten afkomstig uit Kaliningrad die in de naoorlogse periode tijdens verkenningsmissies zijn omgekomen.
