In de Sint-Antoniuskathedraal hang een plaquette en borstbeel van de Franciscaanse bisschop S. Massimiliano Maria Kolbe. Hij werd op 14 augustus 1941 als martelaar naar Auschwitz gebracht en aldaar in het concentratiekamp vermoord. Op de plaquette staat o.a. de tekst in het Italiaans en Turks: Uit Wrok Doden, Alleen, Schept Liefde.
