Diamantslijperij Asscher Amsterdam

In deze fabriek zijn in 1915, tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog, 250 Belgische vluchtelingen opgevangen. De Duitse bezettingsmacht stal alle diamanten uit deze slijperij in 1940. Bovendien werden bijna alle Asscher familieleden gedeporteerd en vermoord in de daaropvolgende oorlogsjaren.
