Dit monument herdenkt de bevrijding van Doetinchem op 1 en 2 april 1945. Bij de gevechten kwamen 9 Geallieerde soldaten om het leven. Het monument staat in het Mark Tennant-plantsoen, vernoemd naar de majoor van de Canadian Calgary Highlanders.
