Dit 23 meter hoge granieten monument herdenkt de Poolse kustverdedigers (voornamelijk die van Gdansk) die tijdens de Duitse september invasie omgekomen zijn. De hele constructie bestaat uit 236 granieten blokken en weegt 1.150 ton.
