Dit voormalige Duitse fort is tussen 1887 en 1890 gebouwd. Het fort werd in 1914 uitgebreid en gemoderniseerd. Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog bevond er in dit fort een filiaal van de Sonnenburger Munitionsfabrik. Het fort zag strijd in 1945 en voor een korte tijd was hier het veldhoofdkwartier van het Sovjet 4e Garde Jagerkorps gevestigd.
