Dit monument herdenkt de beroemde toespraak van Charles de Gaulle vanuit Londen naar het Franse volk op 18 juni 1940. In deze toespraak verteld hij dat de oorlog voor Frankrijk nog niet afgelopen was en dat het Franse volk als één volk zich moest verzetten tegen de Duitse bezetter.
