Dit monument, nabij de graven van slachtoffers van het bloedbad van Vinkt, werd opgericht ter nagedachtenis van de Ardeense Jagers die gedurende de Slag om Vinkt, op het einde van de Achttiendaagse Veldtocht, streden tegen Duitse troepen.
