Deze IS-2 tank (nr. 40.116) behoorde tot de 5e Zware Tank Regiment (5 Pułk Czołgów Ciężkich) van het 2e Poolse Leger (2 Armia Wojska). De tank was vanaf april 1945 actief en was betrokken bij gevechten in Polen en Tsjechoslowakije. Tijdens deze gevechten slaagde deze tank erin om 4 pantserwagens, 3 artilleriestukken en 2 tanks uit te schakelen. Daarnaast heeft de tank ook nog een tank beschadigd.
