Dit monument herdenkt Cpl. Richard F. Wiegand, die hier bij Trou du Loup op 25 december 1944 de opmars van Duitse tanks van Grandmenil naar Erezée tegen wist te houden met een bazooka. Pas in 1991 werd bekend dat hij degene was de tanks had tegen weten te houden. Hij kreeg postuum een Silver Star. Richard Wiegand is begraven in Henri-Chapelle Plot H Rij 2 Graf 52.
