Op 28 december 1941 landden Jozef Gabčík en Jan Kubiš, samen met zeven andere parachutisten, nabij Nehvizdy in het kader van Operatie Anthropoid. Jozef Gabčík en Jan Kubiš zouden op 27 mei 1942 de aanslag op Reinhard Heydrich plegen.
