Generaal Tomoyuki Yamashita gaf zich op 2 september 1945 over in dit Huishoudkundige gebouw van de Kiangan Central School. Zijn formele overgave vond plaats in Baguio City. Yamashita werd berecht voor oorlogsmisdaden en in 1946 in Los Banos opgehangen.
