Dit paleis was vanaf 1940 tot 1944 het zomerverblijf van Gouverneur-generaal Hans Frank. Hij liet het paleis naar zijn smaak verbouwen. Ook het park heeft hij laten herinrichten. De aangestelde architecten waren Herbert Pohl, Koetgen en Horstmann
