Dit gebouw werd gebruikt als ontvangstgebouw voor Adolf Hitler. Hier werd op 30 september 1938 het Verdrag van München getekend. Het Amerikaanse leger gebruikt het gebouw na de oorlog voor de administratie van gestolen kunst.
