Dit gebouw is in 2002 gebouwd als tijdelijke behuizing voor voormalige bewoners van Iwo Jima die het eiland bezoeken om de begraafplaatsen te bezoeken en stoffelijke overschotten te verzamelen. Het is nog steeds niet toegestaan om permanent op het eiland te wonen.
