Dit 19de eeuws fort was onderdeel van vesting Königsberg en werd in de laatste oorlogsmaanden van 1945 gebruikt voor de verdediging van deze stad tegen het Rode Leger. [b]Het fort tegenwoordig:[/b] Fort "Gneisenau" is tegenwoordig vrij te bezoeken.
