Deze Mitsubishi G4M1 Model 11 werd op 18 april 1943 door Amerikaanse jachtviegtuigen neergehaald en maakrte een noodlanding in zee nabij Moila Point. Negen mensen aan boord vonden de dood. Drie overleefden het incident. Onder de slachtoffers zijn: Schout-bij-nacht Rinji Tomoro Schout-bij-nacht Kaoru Imananka Schout-bij-nacht Suteji Muroi En onder de overlevenden: Vice-admiraal Matome Ugaki Kapitein-ter-Zee Motoharu Kitamura
