Dit monument was het eerste monument in de regio dat door de bevolking opgericht werd naar aanleiding van de Slag om Arnhem. Oorspronkelijk is het monument echter opgericht op een andere plek. Het monument bestaat dan ook uit verschillende WO2 gerelateerde items die in de omgeving aangetroffen werden.
