G4M1 Model 11 Betty # 2271 maakte op 7 mei 1942, tijdens de slag in de Koraalzee, een noodlanding in ondiep water bij het Panaeati Island. Het toestel is naderhand op het strand getrokken en is sindsdien door orkanen verwoest waardoor er tegenwoordig nog maar enkele onderdelen te bezichtigen zijn.
