Op 27 februari 1942 was er een aanval van Geallieerde parachutisten op de Duitse Freya radarinstallatie bij Bruneval in Frankrijk. De vliegtuigen vertrokken van Thruxton Airfield. Deze plaquette herdenkt de aanval.
