Fort 48 Batowice werd tussen 1883 en 1885 gebouwd als onderdeel van de Oostenrijk-Hongaarse Festung Krakau. Het fort was een Duitse steunpunt tijdens de verdediging van Kraków in 1945 tegen het Rode Leger. [b]Het fort tegenwoordig:[/b] Fort Batowice is tegenwoordig verlaten.
