Dit kasteel werd in april 1945 gebruikt als uitvalsbasis en hoofdkwartier van Kommando Zeppelin van het SS-Jagdverband Nord/West. Uiteindelijk zijn hier tientallen verzetsleden gemarteld en vermoord.
